Upper North Island

Cloudy with areas of rain, heavy about some eastern areas like Coromandel, Great Barrier Island and also perhaps eastern Northland / Bay Of Plenty. Rain eases this evening then clears overnight with a southerly change. Rain may hang about eastern Bay Of Plenty till Monday morning then clearing there.

Lower North Island

Plenty of high cloud with north to northwesterly winds, areas of rain about the Central North Island and northwards, a light shower or two may make it a touch further south this afternoon / evening. Areas of rain move into Gisborne and Hawkes Bay later this afternoon and evening, rain may become heavy overnight for East Cape and Gisborne.

Upper South Island

Some cloud for North Westland with showers moving in later this evening / overnight. Mostly sunny elsewhere at first with light winds this morning. Southerlies push into Canterbury this afternoon bringing increasing cloud, showers or drizzle moves into South Canterbury later this afternoon then gradually working northwards this evening and overnight. Marlborough sees southerlies develop in the evening with some cloud.

Lower South Island

Showers move through Southland and Otago this morning then mostly clearing this afternoon, cold southwesterly winds. Some rain for South Westland with northwesterly winds changing southwest this afternoon.
