Upper North Island

Areas of mid and high level cloud with east to northeast winds. Cloud a little thicker about Northland with the chance of a shower or two during the day in the east, perhaps out on the Coromandel also and about Great Barrier Island.

Lower North Island

Sunny areas and some cloud about, east to northeasterly breezes in the east and westerly winds in the west. Chance of a few isolated showers late afternoon / evening especially about inland areas where a thunderstorm and / or heavy fall is possible.

Upper South Island

Any morning low cloud or fog clears to mostly sunny weather, east to northeast winds in the east and westerly breezes in the west.

Lower South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to sunny areas and some high cloud, east to northeasterly winds along the east coast and west to northwest breezes elsewhere.
