Upper North Island

Mostly cloudy skies in the west with breezy west to southwesterly winds, chance of a light shower at times otherwise mainly dry. The Bay Of Plenty experiences more frequent sunny areas.

Lower North Island

Mostly cloudy in the west with breezy westerly winds, tending more southwest about Taranaki. Chance of a light shower here also otherwise mainly dry. Mostly sunny skies in the east with light winds, about Wellington expect brisk northerly winds by midday.

Upper South Island

Mostly cloudy skies in the west with the odd brief shower at times, mainly dry otherwise. Out east mostly sunny with west to northwesterly winds.

Lower South Island

Cloudy in the west with the chance of a shower now and then, mainly sunny in the east and about Southland with breezy westerly winds.
