Upper North Island

Mostly cloudy with light winds tending northerly, a few sunny spells about. Isolated showers possible in the afternoon mainly Auckland southwards with the chance of a heavy fall.

Lower North Island

Cloudy and sunny areas, winds mostly light with afternoon sea breezes. Isolated showers in the afternoon mainly inland with the chance of a heavy fall or two.

Upper South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, winds light with afternoon sea breezes. A few isolated showers about inland hills and ranges late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry.

Lower South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, winds light with afternoon sea breezes. A few isolated showers possible about inland hills and ranges late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry. Fiordland sees morning light showers or drizzle then drying out in the afternoon.
