Upper North Island

Sunny areas and some cloud, light winds and afternoon sea breezes. A few isolated showers may get going late afternoon / evening mainly about Auckland and Northland.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny in the west with east to southeast breezes, cloudy skies along the east coast with southeasterly winds and patchy drizzle / showers. Wellington is mostly cloudy with southerly winds, chance of a light shower or two.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny about Nelson with light winds in the morning, afternoon northerlies. Morning cloud and the chance of a shower on the West Coast then breaking to sunny areas with light winds. Late afternoon / evening there could be an isolated shower about the ranges of Buller / Tasman but only a low risk. A fairly cloudy start along the east coast with the chance of some drizzle then breaking to sunny areas, south to southeasterly winds.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny on the West Coast south of the Galciers with light winds, afternoon sea breezes. Some morning cloud in the east breaks to sunny areas with easterly breezes.
