Upper North Island

Sunny spells with west to southwest breezes,
chance of a light shower at times otherwise dry. Winds ease in the evening. Mostly sunny about the Bay Of Plenty with westerly winds easing in the evening. High cloud about Northland with some rain possible for the far north of the region especially overnight.

Lower North Island

West to southwest winds in the west bring cloudy periods and the chance of a light shower at times otherwise dry. Mainly sunny along the east coast with light winds. Southerlies develop this morning about Wellington, periods of cloud with the chance of a light shower about otherwise dry.

Upper South Island

Morning rain clearing on the West Coast then sunny spells develop, westerly winds ease. Mostly sunny for Nelson with easing southwesterlies. Early morning cloud and the chance of a light shower clearing on the east coast then mostly sunny with south to southwesterly winds.

Lower South Island

Morning rain clearing on the West Coast then sunny spells develop, westerly winds ease. West to southwest winds about Southland and Otago with sunny spells and areas of cloud, cloud a little more persistent about Southland with the chance of a light shower at times otherwise dry.
