Upper North Island

Cloudy periods with west to southwest winds,
chance of a light shower at times in the west. Sunnier about the Bay Of Plenty with dry weather all day.

Lower North Island

Cloudy spells in the west with westerly quarter winds, freshening from afternoon, chance of a light shower. Mostly sunny along the east coast with mild temperatures and northwesterlies freshening during the day. Mostly sunny for Wellington with
strengthening northwesterlies, cloud increases later.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny along the east coast and about Nelson with freshening
northwesterly winds, high cloud increases too. Cloudy in the west with
northwesterlies freshening also, the odd light shower turns to rain later in the
day.

Lower South Island

Cloudy in the west with showers turning to rain during the morning, rain becoming heavy in the afternoon then easing later in the evening with northwesterlies changing southwest. Dry with thickening high
cloud in the east, breezy northwesterlies. Southland sees cloudy skies and the
odd brief shower at times during the day, winds change southwest there later in
the evening / overnight.
