Upper North Island

Northeasterly winds with cloudy periods and
drizzle patches, there may be a few isolated areas of heavier precipitation.

Lower North Island

Light winds tending northeasterly, sunny spells for most with Wellington through to southern Taranaki in the west likely to have sunny skies all day. Skies cloudy to start on the east coast then sunny spells develop.

Upper South Island

Sunny weather with light winds, frosty to start for inland
areas.

Lower South Island

Sunny weather with light winds, frosty to start for inland areas.
