Upper North Island

Mostly sunny weather with high cloud decreasing during the morning, south to southeasterly winds. There may be a few morning showers about eastern Northland / Auckland and the Coromandel that clear.

Lower North Island

Sunny weather out west with high cloud decreasing in the morning, light winds. Along the east coast from Gisborne to
Wairarapa a few morning showers clear then sunny spells develop in the afternoon, southerlies ease. Morning cloud breaks about Wellington with sunny
spells increasing, southerlies ease.

Upper South Island

Sunny with light winds, some late cloud develops on the West Coast north of
Hokitika.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, some high cloud develops later in the day about Southland and Otago. Northwesterlies
pick up about Southland from afternoon. Cloud increases along the West Coast in
the evening south of Hokitika with rain moving into Fiordland overnight.
