Sunday set up

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Winds off the northeast of the North Island seems to be the biggest player today and it should push into parts of Gisborne and Hawkes Bay as well as eastern areas of Northland plus just off Auckland.

Som rain with possibly heavy falls about Gisborne seems to be just one of the few blemishes on the radar today for the country.

Yesterday temperatures took off in the south and today it’s looking cooler with near average temperatures but still the chance of some sunshine.

Overnight lows were quite mild in many areas and winds in most cases were light however a south to sou’ east wind did cover parts of the north east of the country.
