Storm update: All quiet on the western front…and dry

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Despite being in one of the most changeable seasons of the year the weather around New Zealand has gone very quiet with little to no severe weather expected over the next few days.

Apart from a low risk of severe gales about the Catlins and Dunedin on Sunday, MetService has no other predicted rough weather in their severe weather outlook.

The dry regions of New Zealand, mainly Central Otago, parts of Canterbury, Marlborough, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel, Auckland and Northland aren’t expected to see any significant rain in the next 10 days.

The dry, settled, weather is all due to a very large high pressure system moving in from Australia which is expect to affect our nation’s weather for the next 7 to 10 days.
