Special Video: Tonga’s ash cloud, Cody, + Where’s the rain, NZ?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

In today’s extended video we track the ash cloud from the Tonga eruption as it moves over Queensland, Australia also Nouvelle Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji.

We also monitor ex-tropical Cyclone Cody that is missing much of NZ – but only just. Dangerous beach conditions will affect many eastern beaches. And we take a look at where NZ’s rain has gone.

With Cody failing to bring the wet stuff, North Islanders in particular are asking “Where’s the rain gone?”. Side note: WeatherWatch.co.nz and RuralWeather.co.nz have a news story this morning about rainfall for the rest of January (out to Feb 1).
