As forecast by WeatherWatch.co.nz and RuralWeather we’re seeing some snow flurries in the South Island today.
First it was Southland, now it’s inland Canterbury with snow flurries down to just 180m, around Darfield.
It’s tough going for newborn livestock, especially lambs, dealing with the cold.
One brief positive is that Thursday warms up quite a bit. Some places today, like Gore, only have a high of +6C but Thursday it bounces back to +14, then down to a high of +9C on Friday.
Darfield has a high of +8C today (if you’re lucky) but Thursday’s high is +16C. Classic spring weather.
