Southern concern: Weather risks for Tuesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Tuesday is shaping up to be another settled day for most of the country, with mostly sunny weather dominating the landscape – but there is one exception…

A front looks to make landfall in the South Island late this afternoon or early evening, bringing showers and the chance of a thunderstorm to Southland and Otago.
The showers could be heavy at times, as the southwest change comes through – affecting Southland first and then moving on to Otago.

Other than that, it’s plain sailing for the rest of the country!
