The forecast for much of the country today continues to make rather grim reading with overcast skies for many of us and showers, rain, drizzle and thunder in the mix.

On the upside, temperatures continue to be quite mild in many northern and central areas but the gathering clouds do little to boost many peoples moods.

Tomorrow continues to look a lot brighter but still a few showers are likely here and there,  just to remind us about the fickle nature of spring.
