Snow risks for Wellington – Wednesday’s Weather Video

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The polar southerly continues to move up the nation bringing snow into Dunedin overnight and now there’s a chance of a little snow in Wellington.

Amounts aren’t huge and snow flurries to low levels (below 200m) will be isolated – the risk is there.

During Thursday the North Island gets the coldest air while a high moves across New Zealand this weekend bringing calmer, drier and sunnier weather – but also big frosts to sheltered places.
