Christchurch missed out on hosting Rugby World Cup games due to the February 22nd earthquake but locals will be out in force tonight in homes, backyards, pubs and other locations to watch the All Blacks on TV as they take on France in Auckland tonight.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says weather conditions for the Garden City will be ideal this evening although possibly a little cool thanks to the nor’easter.
Temperatures this evening outdoors will be around 10 to 12 degrees with a cool north easterly breeze.
Skies will be mostly clear with just a few passing clouds.
And for those that are looking forward to a day off work tomorrow and a sleep-in after a likely big night – the forecast is looking even better. A hot nor’wester is likely to develop across inland Canterybury then spread into Christchurch.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says temperatures across Canterbury on Labour Day will be between 20 and 24 degrees with similar temperatures across Christchurch.
