Our low pressure system that has been hanging around over the North Island for the last 2 or 3 days finally has moved off to the northeast, conditions are fairly settled over the country in its wake however there is a fair amount of cloud about.
Auckland sees areas of cloud this evening and southwesterly breezes, expect clear spells about also. Conditions will be fairly dry and it’s looking that way for the next week or so, there may be a few brief showers move through for a time later on Monday. A low tonight of 13 degrees.
A similar situation for Wellington tonight however winds moving about in a different direction. Clear areas and some cloud, southerlies die out this evening and northerlies develop around midday. Dry with a low of 12 overnight.
Some cloud for Christchurch this evening too, not an amazingly warm evening with easterly winds gradually easing. A low overnight of 10.
Tomorrow Christchurch is looking very warm and may be the warmest day so far this spring as a pre frontal northwesterly airflow develops over the region, an evening southerly brings cloud and late drizzle though so if anyone was thinking about having a good time in the evening the weather says no you’ve had enough today time to cool all of you down.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
