Last night’s freak thunderstorm in Christchurch produced marble-sized hail, heavy rain, stunning lightning and more than a few frayed nerves.
It also gave Cantabs the chance to take some amazing photographs.
Since last night, we have received many photos from our readers. Here are just a few of them.

The lighting was amazing and beautiful, the hail was definitely the best thing to see since June 6! I hope we get more of this sort of weather as it is my favorite type. But getting scared of thunder and lighting is a bit odd, as it is very safe. The last time I witnessed thunder and lighting was last August when it snowed, so this was something to be exited about!
