New Zealand will see a few chances for rain today. But those chances will be few and far between and any rain that falls will be fairly light.
The wettest place in the country will be around the Gisborne area. The developing onshore flow will spark a few showers today for the Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay areas.
There are already plenty of clouds in place around the country. There will likely be a few peeks of sunshine as well. The sunniest spot will probably be found about inland Waikato. The day will start off with some sunshine and then there will be a mix of clouds and sun during the day.
The warmest city centre in New Zealand is expected to be Hamilton with high of 26. The coolest city centre should be Dunedin with a high of 18.
Winds will not be particularly strong today. In fact, most areas should see winds stay under 15 km/h. The windiest spot should be around Gisborne with sustained winds approaching 20 km/h this afternoon.
