A west to southwesterly airflow lies over the country today. A few showers in the west today, mainly for the West Coast while out east is dry and sunny.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Cloudy areas with a few showers for Northland, southeasterly winds. There could be a shower or two for a few other western areas otherwise fairly dry. Bay Of Plenty has sunny skies. Winds from the southwest for Auckland, Waikato and Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 13-15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Some cloud for Taranaki with southwesterlies, perhaps a shower or two from around midday. Further south skies are sunnier but cloud thickens later in the evening bringing the risk of a shower, winds from the northwest.
Highs: 9-14

Eastern North Island

Sunny with light winds, afternoon north to northeasterly winds. Wairarapa may have some evening cloud.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington

Sunny with light winds tending to the north by midday.
Highs: 13-14

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 11-14

Canterbury

Sunny with light north to northwesterly winds, winds tend more northeast nearer the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 3-13

West Coast

Cloudy areas with the odd shower, southwesterly winds. Winds more from the west for Fiordland.
Highs: 8-13

Southland & Otago
Cloudy areas for Southland with the odd spit or shower, west to northwesterly winds, gusty about the coast. Otago has sunnier skies with lighter northwesterlies.
Highs: 10-13
