A high pressure system still covers most of New Zealand today bringing mainly settled and sunny weather. On Sunday a front starts to move into the far north bringing rain.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Morning cloud Auckland northwards breaks away then mostly sunny, sunny for Waikato and Bay Of Plenty after a cold start. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny, frosty to start especially inland with the chance of a fog patch. Some cloud for New Plymouth and Kapiti though with the chance of a shower. Northerlies.
Highs: 11-16

Eastern North Island

Sunny, light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 15-16

Wellington

Mostly sunny, there may be some cloud, mainly after midday. North to northwesterly winds freshen up a little.
Highs: 15

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny after a frosty start, light north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-16

Canterbury

Sunny after a frosty start, especially inland. Light winds tending northeast near the coast.
Highs: 11-16

West Coast

Some cloud south of about Greymouth with the odd light shower. Buller has a mainly sunny day, any morning fog clears. Light winds.
Highs: 12-15

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny after a frosty start, especially inland. Some high cloud increases during the day. Light winds.
Highs: 14-16
