Saturday’s national forecast – Still mainly dry

Dry for most of New Zealand however we have a few showers in the north for Coromandel up through to Northland, also showers in the far south this morning. Tomorrow a front moves down from the north.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mid and high level cloud, Northland is mostly cloudy. A few showers for Coromandel up through to eastern Northland, showers becoming more widespread for Northland in the afternoon. East to northeasterly winds freshen.
Highs: 14 – 17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, some high cloud. Light winds tend south to southeast from afternoon.
Highs: 13 – 18

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny, a touch of high cloud. Cloud may thicken and lower a touch at night. Light winds tend east to southeast after midday.
Highs: 16 – 17

Wellington

Partly cloudy, northerlies change to the south around midday.
Highs: 14 – 17

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny, some high cloud. East to southeast winds from midday.
Highs: 15 – 17

Canterbury

Mostly sunny then some cloud pushes in from the south during the afternoon as light winds tend southeast. Chance of fog overnight.
Highs: 14 – 16

West Coast

Mostly sunny, South Westland may have some cloud. Light winds.
Highs: 15 – 18

Southland & Otago
Morning showers clear Southland, sunny spells may break through in the afternoon otherwise staying mostly cloudy. Otago has cloudy areas, afternoon sunny spells, more so inland. Overnight could see some fog. Light east to southeasterly winds. 
Highs: 13 – 17
