Another mainly settled day across New Zealand thanks to a high pressure system, mainly dry too but there could be a light shower or drizzle patch for some spots. Overnight rain moves into the West Coast.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, some cloud moves into Northland late afternoon or evening with a few light showers possible (more so northern Northland). Light winds then afternoon sea breezes, northerlies take over later in the day.
Highs: 18-20
Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, cloud may be more persistent for Kapiti during the day. High cloud later in the day. Northwesterly winds.
Highs: 14-17
Eastern North Island
Sunny, afternoon east to northeasterly breezes. Northwesterlies for Wairarapa.
Highs: 18-19
Wellington
Sunny spells, cloud thicker in the north. North to northwesterly winds becoming gusty from afternoon.
Highs: 15-16
Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny with some high cloud after midday, light winds then north to northwesterly winds pick up from afternoon.
Highs: 17-19
Canterbury
Any morning cloud clears then mostly sunny with developing high cloud, South Canterbury may have some lower level cloud for much of the day then breaking away in the evening. Afternoon east to northeast winds.
Highs: 15-17
West Coast
Mostly cloudy, some morning drizzle clears then overnight rain moves in especially about South Westland. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-17
Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, north to northeasterly winds. Coastal Otago has a mostly cloudy day, perhaps a drizzle patch or two.
