A low pressure system with it’s centre just west of Fiordland brings rain or shower to the South Island’s West Coast, thuderstorms at times too. Showers also affect Southland and perhaps into Otago in the afternoon. For Nelson and Marlborough brief early rain clears, a period of rain moves through late morning and early afternoon for much of the North Island then clears.

Morning rain with northerlies, clearing around midday then expect sunny
breaks in the afternoon as winds tend more northwest.
Brief early rain then expect sunny spells with with strong northerlies,
winds may gust to gale force at times in the afternoon.
Brief early rain then expect sunny spells with with brisk
northwesterlies.
Brief early rain clears then mostly sunny with gusty northwesterlies,
strong in the afternoon.
Mostly sunny with brisk north to northwest breezes, strong at times in the
afternoon especially inland.
Showers, some heavy with thunderstorms. Northerlies may be strong at times
after midday.
Mostly sunny with northerly breezes, south of Dunedin winds tend southerly
in the afternoon with the chance of a shower then clearing evening.

spreading from the west. Later in the evening winds change southerly with a few
showers.

midday winds tend southerly with showers, a few may be heavy then clearing later
