High pressure brings mainly settled and sunny weather to New Zealand today, many areas may start the day with some morning cloud then sunny areas develop in the afternoon. Expect afternoon sea breezes for most regions.
Northland
Mostly sunny with some cloud in the east, breezy east to southeast  winds.
Highs: 23-24
Auckland
Mostly sunny with afternoon sea breezes, some cloud develops in northern  parts of the region in the evening and there is the low risk of a shower there  overnight.
Highs: 24-25
Central North Island, Bay Of Plenty,  Waikato
Mostly sunny with light winds after any morning cloud clears, northeasterly  breezes about Bay Of Plenty during the afternoon. Risk of an isolated shower  about the Central North Island late afternoon and evening.
Highs: 23-26
Eastern North Island
Morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day with east to northeast breezes.  Southeasterlies bring some cloud north of Gisborne in the evening with a risk of  drizzle.
Highs: 21-23
Western North Island
Mostly sunny with light winds and afternoon sea breezs, afternoon and  evening isolated showers develop inland then clear before midnight. Some showers  may be heavy and contain thunderstorms.
Highs: 21-24
Wellington
Any morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day, northerlies.
Highs: 20-21
Marlborough & Nelson
Any morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day, east to northeast breezes  in the afternoon. Late afternoon and evening a few isolated showers are possible  inland then clearing before midnight.
Highs: 20-23
Canterbury
Morning cloud and any coastal drizzle clears, sunny spells in the afternoon  with east to northeast breezes. Cloud moves in about the coast again later in  the evening.
High: 19-21
West Coast
Any morning cloud clears to mostly sunny weather, light winds and afternoon  sea breezes. Afternoon isolated showers possible about Buller then clearing in  the evening.
Highs: 21-22
Coastal Otago
Areas of cloud morning and night with mostly sunny weather in the  afternoon, light winds tend easterly.
High: 17
Southland & Central Otago
Early cloudy breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds tend south to  southwesterly in the afternoon. Some high cloud develops from evening.
Highs: 17-25
