High pressure will remain in place over New Zealand this weekend.  It will be a dry and settled day across the country.  Indeed, the weather should be just about perfect for just about any outdoor activity.

Unless, of course, that outdoor activity involves most types of burning.  Fire bans and fire risks are still in place.
 
 
Upper North Island
 
Mostly sunny to start.  A few clouds will build up in the afternoon.  Look for southwest breezes.
Highs: 22-26
 
 
Lower North Island
 
Mostly sunny skies with a few clouds.
Highs:  20-24
 
 
Upper South Island
 
Mostly sunny skies with a few afternoon clouds.
Highs:  21-23 in the west, 24-26 in the east
 
 
Lower South Island
 
Mostly sunny to start.  Increasing clouds during the afternoon.
High:  22-26
