Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It’s been on the horizon for a couple of days and today it seems the heat is here and much of the country should be either warm or hot.

It’s a coolish start in some areas however with the sun rising thermometers are already on the rise.

The low thirties should be topped over parts of the South Island under blue skies with just light breezes about the coasts and generally light winds inland.

The North island is also likely to be warm to very warm with just some passing clouds otherwise it’s blue skies.

WeatherWatch.co.nz would like to remind Kiwis that it’s important to slip slop slap and wrap as the UV Index is either very high or extreme across the country this weekend.

Have an enjoyable weekend!
