Upper North Island-

Showers are expected through late morning, ending this afternoon for most areas.  Some clearing is also possible this afternoon.  Bay of Plenty and East Cape/Gisborne could see showers linger into this evening.  Highs: 18-21.

Lower North Island-

A mix of sun and clouds for most areas.  A few lingering showers possible along the western regions this morning.  Wellington and the eastern regions are likely to see showers linger into this afternoon.  Highs: 16-19

Upper South Island-

Showers are expected to linger along the eastern coastal sections this morning, mainly north of Christchurch.  Otherwise, look for a mix of sun and clouds.  Highs: 16-18

Lower South Island-

A mix of sun and clouds with a few showers possible this afternoon and this evening.  Highs: 15-18, but closer to 20 for central Otago.
