Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Upper North Island-

Breezy conditions are expected from Auckland north, but it looks it should be mostly dry.  There is just a slight chance for a shower along the west coast during the afternoon.  Highs should range from the upper teens to lower 20s.

Lower North Island-

A settled day is expected with light winds, partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures.  Look for highs in the low to mid 20s.  However, it will be a bit cooler for the lower North Island with highs mainly in the mid teens for Wellington and Wairarapa.

Upper South Island-

Settled conditions are expected here as well.  Early morning showers should clear out quickly leaving a partly cloudy sky with light winds.  There is a slight risk for showers along the ranges as the daytime heating peaks in the afternoon.  Highs will be around 20.

Lower South Island-

Dry and settled for most areas to start the day.  However, during the afternoon some showers may pop up along the coastal sections of Southland.  Breezy conditions are expected here as well.  Highs in the mid teens along the coast to around 20 inland.

Not sure to what degree they have showers for Masterton.  From our end, it will certainly be a pretty cloudy day, but I think precipitaiton chances are quite small and anything that falls would be pretty light and quick.

Cheers
