High pressure for the North Island today, a northwesterly airflow lies over the South Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, there may be some fog morning and night especially about inland areas. The Bay Of Plenty sees areas of cloud, perhaps even a shower or two at times. Light winds.
Highs: 18-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloudy areas, may be a light shower or two at times. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

Eastern North Island
Sunny, Gisborne may see some morning low cloud or fog. North to northwesterly winds for most, perhaps tending northeast in the afternoon about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
Highs: 17-20

Wellington
Mostly cloudy, blustery north to northwesterly winds.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Canterbury
Any morning fog clears then mostly sunny with some high cloud possible, light north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast
Mostly cloudy, rain about South Westland with heavy falls in Fiordland by evening. North Westland is drier with only the odd shower. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Southland & Otago
High cloud, some sun at times. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 13- 17
