An anticyclone lies over most of New Zealand on Saturday bringing mainly settled weather, a southeasterly airflow moving around this high brings a few showers to the North Islands east coast and Northland however.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny or mostly sunny with light southeasterly winds. Northland has some cloud, especially in the east where there may be a shower or two at times.
Highs: 22-26

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny with southeasterly winds.
Highs: 20-23

Eastern North Island
Cloudy areas develop in the morning bringing the risk of a few light patchy showers as south to southwesterly winds freshen, cloud breaks up overnight.
Highs: 16-20

Wellington
Sunny spells with southerly winds.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny, light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon for Marlborough, afternoon northerlies for Nelson.
Highs: 20-23

Canterbury
May be some morning cloud then mostly sunny, light southerlies tending easterly by evening.
Highs: 19-21

West Coast
Sunny with light winds tending westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-25

Southland & Otago
Sunny with light winds tending southwest in the afternoon, any morning cloud about Southland and the Catlins clears away.
Highs: 17-24
