Upper North Island

Areas of cloud and some sun, there may be a light shower or two about otherwise fairly dry. May be the odd isolated heavy shower about Northland late afternoon / evening. High’s in the mid to high twenties.

Lower North Island

Areas of cloud in the west, may even be a light shower or two but some sun at times also. Winds from the west or northwest. A mainly sunny day in the east with afternoon east to northeast breezes. High’s in the mid to high twenties, temperatures may reach into the early thirties along the east coast.

Upper South Island

Cloudy areas in the west with the chance of a light shower or two, sunny areas the further north you go especially into Buller. Winds from the west or northwest. Mainly sunny about Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury with afternoon sea breezes. Temperatures in the low twenties for the West Coast, mid to high twenties elsewhere, perhaps even cracking into the thirties about parts of Canterbury and Marlborough.

Lower South Island

Mostly cloudy in the west with the odd light shower, winds from the northwest. Mostly sunny in the east however some cloud develops during the afternoon bringing the risk of a light shower or two as light winds tend southwest. High’s in the low twenties in the west, mid to high twenties in the east. Early thirties for some inland areas.
