Saturday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Another settled day is on tap for most the country.  A few clouds will pop up about the northern tip of the North Island today and a few showers will be possible as well.  The rest of the North Island should see another fairly sunny day.

The South Island is also in for a fairly sunny day.  There will be a few harmless clouds about for most regions.  The deep south could see a more clouds than sun and even see a few showers pop off late today although precipitation chances are small.

The ridge of high pressure that will help support today’s settled weather will lose its grip on weather for tomorrow.  That’s when the big Tasmanian low is expected to move in.  That will unsettle the weather across the country as we end the weekend and head into next week.
