Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning, afternoon Sea Breezes. There may be a few isolated showers about Northland late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Some morning cloud breaking away to mostly sunny weather, west to northwest winds.

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light north to northwesterly winds, east to northeast breezes about parts of coastal Hawkes Bay and Gisborne in the afternoon.
Highs: 27-30
 
Wellington
Cloudy areas and some sun at times, breezy northwest winds.
High: 22
 
Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny areas and some high cloud increasing from morning, north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 25-31
 
Canterbury
Plenty of high cloud, a few spots of rain possible at times otherwise dry. Nor’West winds.

West Coast
Mostly cloudy with patchy showers or drizzle, areas of rain about South Westland. Northwesterly winds.

Mostly cloudy with a few spells of rain at times for much of the day about Southland and western parts of Central Otago. Elsewhere for Otago expect some morning sun then increasing high cloud, the odd spot of rain possible from afternoon otherwise dry. West to northwesterly winds.
