The southwesterly airflow is on it’s last legs today for most of the country, most places look to have a good day although some coastal fringes see the odd shower. An anticyclone in the Tasman Sea moves ever so closer.

Auckland & Northland
Chance of an early shower then mostly sunny with southwesterly winds. Overnight the odd shower may move in again.
High: 14-15

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with southwesterly winds, a little breezy at times.
High: 14

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny with southwesterly winds.
Highs: 11-12

Eastern North Island

Chance of an early shower, mainly coastal then clearing to mostly sunny
weather. Southwesterly winds. Overnight the odd shower may move in again about
coastal fringes.
High: 13

Taranaki

Sunny areas and a few clouds about, southwesterly winds.
High: 13

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds tending westerly in the afternoon.
High: 12

Wellington

Any early showers clear then becoming mostly sunny, southerly winds die out
early on. Later in the evening southerlies freshen again with some cloud, chance
of a shower overnight.

Nelson

Sunny with light southwesterlies.

Marlborough

Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 12-13

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with light winds at first, tending southwesterly by midday.
Chance of a late evening shower out on Banks Peninsula.

Cloudy periods, the odd shower late afternoon / evening. Brisk
