Not the most settled of nights around the country this evening / overnight. A front works its way north over the upper South Island this evening and onto the Lower North Island overnight.
This front will bring rain to many in the South Island. It runs out of puff a little as it moves onto the North Island however, not delivering as much of the wet stuff but a few showers are still expected.
Auckland this evening can expect areas of cloud to gradually increase, winds will be brisk from the west or southwest. Overnight expect cloudy skies with a few showers towards dawn. A low overnight of 17 perhaps 16 degrees, so not very cold.
Wellington sees cloudy skies this evening with strong northerlies, possibly gusting to gale force at times. Winds change southerly mid way through the night bringing some rain. A low overnight of 13 degrees.
Christchurch will be a bit cold, southwesterlies and rain this evening then easing overnight. A low of 9 degrees.

I wish the wind would stop. So aggravating. 😉

Agree 100% totally over this last week of relentless southwesterlies and a never ending supply of pine needles randomly over everything every day.
