Rugby weather for NZ vs Argentina in Nelson tonight as low finally pulls away from NZ (+3 Maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A low will gradually leave the North Island today and a high will prevail over both islands by the end of Saturday. It will be sunny in most areas, including Nelson ahead of the big All Blacks game tonight against Argentina.

The set up favours cloud free skies at Trafalgar Park leading up to the 7:35pm kick off, but a cold night is on the way with temperatures around Nelson falling to +2C in the town which means frosts are possible inland. So for kick off tonight expect temperatures to drop quickly after sunset. Winds will be light and dew may develop making for somewhat slippery conditions.

Saturday afternoon will be slightly warmer than average for this time of year in Nelson, it will be a stunning day to host Argentina, but the overnight temperatures swing the other direction and are, in fact, cooler than normal.
