The new week is looking like it’s off to a fairly settled start – with a bit of everything picked to follow as the week progresses.
The situation as it stands is we have a ridge moving in from the Tasman Sea in the morning, extending out from a high – while a southeasterly airflow over the North Island will take some time to calm down.
Over the South Island, most places are looking good – although there could be some clearing morning cloud, and winds are generally light.
North Westland and Nelson may see cloud hang around for a fair bit of the day though.
For the North Island, the East Coast sees cloud and the odd shower – while morning cloud clears to mostly sunny weather in the west.
Auckland gets morning cloud and the chance of a shower before afternoon sunny areas, and Northland has cloud and possible showers hanging around for much of the day, with south to southwesterly winds.
