We have a few showers about for Saturday in both islands, mainly around the coastal areas. Southland, coastal Otago, Auckland, Northland, Wairarapa and the upper West Coast all have a few showers about this morning but most will clear away or ease.

On Sunday more wet weather moves up the West Coast and over the next several days ahead that theme continues – matching our initial December forecast we released in late November.
