A west to southwesterly airflow moving around a large high in the Tasman Sea brings some shower activity to western regions on Wednesday, this is more evident for the West Coast of the South Island. A few morning showers clear Auckland and the odd shower pushes into Northland at times.
Westerlies bring more shower or rain activity to the west than east through till this coming Saturday morning. On Friday a front starts to bring some rain / shower activity for the upper South Island and lower North Island.
