RainWatch – The odd shower in the east today, perhaps a late heavy fall in the west

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Expect a few showers or some drizzle for eastern regions today, drying out from afternoon for the eastern South Island, evening about the eastern North Island. Mainly dry in the west however keep an eye out afternoon / evening when there will be a few isolated showers, Greymouth northwards for the South Island and northern Tarnakai northwards for the North Island. Perhaps a chance one or two of these isolated showers may be heavy. Some rain is possible overnight about northern Taranaki.

Morning snow flurries to 400m for the eastern South Island clear away.

Expect dry weather for the South Island on Friday, any morning showers for the upper North Island clear away, especially about Northland. Taranaki also (mainly in the north) may see some morning rain then clearing.
