RainWatch – Showers for the eastern and northern North Island, mostly clearing in the south

Any showers or drizzle with snow flurries to 300m clearing Canterbury / Marlborough this morning then mainly dry. North of about Hokitika on the West Coast expect the odd shower from afternoon. Showers move into the North Islands east coast, some snow to 400m. Any early showers clear coastal Bay Of Plenty. A few showers from afternoon for Coromandel, northern Auckland and Northland.

Mainly dry for most of New Zealand this weekend. A few remaining light showers about Gisborne clear on Saturday morning, Northland sees showers in a southeasterly airflow. Sunday may see a few light showers or drizzle patches push into eastern regions, more so the North Islands east coast.
