RainWatch – Rain marches northwards over the SI on Saturday, snow for the ranges

A front pushes northwards over the South Island on Saturday bringing in a wet start to the weekend although conditions may seem ok with a dry start on the cards in the northeast (Banks Peninsula through to Marlborough). Don’t get to complacent though as the rain will come. This front moves onto the lower North Island in the evening.

The front moving over the South Island on Saturday brings with it snow to the ranges as indicated in the image below.
