RainWatch – Rain eases then clears for the North Island

Morning rain or showers clear for most western North Island regions today then sun breaks through, showers hang about Northland through till evening however. Rain about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne eases to showers this morning, any morning showers for Wellington / Wairarapa clear.

The South Island is mainly dry today due to a ridge of high pressure, any morning showers about Banks Peninsula northwards in the east clears.

Dry for most of the North Island on Tuesday, any morning showers about Hawkes Bay / Gisborne clear. Drizzle about Fiordland turns to showers overnight.

Rain moves into the lower South Island and about South Westland on Wednesday, rain pushes northwards overnight reaching to about Banks Peninsula. Mainly dry for the North Island, a light shower or two may move in to the west Taranaki southwards.
