High pressure is over most of NZ right now but a low is brushing past Gisborne in the next couple of days and a few isolated showers will bubble up elsewhere.
This weekend a low tracks past Southland bringing West Coast rain and further north showers for the western side.
There may be a bigger burst of rain for the North Island next Wednesday (not in the maps below).
