Quite dry for the North Island today, just a few showers moving into East Cape this afternoon for a time. The West Coast of the South Island sees some rain, clearing overnight. A few spots of rain may move into Southland overnight, mainly dry for the South Island otherwise.
Another mainly dry day for the North Island on Wednesday, risk of an isolated shower in the afternoon for Northland. There may be a light shower or drizzle patch about Bay Of Plenty and Taranaki by dawn on Thursday.
The West Coast of the South Island sees showers develop mid to late afternoon then turning to rain overnight, any morning spots of rain about Southland clear away.
Rain for the West Coast of the South Island becomes heavy on Thursday, showers about Northland spreading to other western parts of the North Island later in the evening or overnight. Mainly dry for eastern regions.
