RainWatch – Low brings wet weather to the North Island on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A low pressure system brings wet weather to the North Island on Friday, there could even be a few thunderstorms about Waikato northwards in the afternoon. The South Island is drier by comparison, expect morning showers Banks Peninsula northwards in the east to clear away and overnight a front brings rain to the far south / southwest.

Any snow potential for the 24 hour period from 6am on Friday is restricted to the far south and this will arrive overnight as a front moves in.
