As a low pressure system crosses over New Zealand on Thursday with it comes unsettled / wet weather. The darker colours shown in the map below are where the highest areas of precipitation can be expected in the 24 hours from 6am tomorrow morning. As a southerly quarter airflow increases over the South Island conditions start to clear up in the west.
