RainWatch – Front brings rain to the West Coast on Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A front pushes northwards over the South Island tomorrow and this will bring rain to the West Coast, a few showers push into Southland and perhaps Otago from afternoon with a west to southwest change. The North Island is mainly dry however an easterly airflow still brings the odd shower to some northeastern coastal areas.

Friday is mainly dry for most of New Zealand however a period of showers ease for the West Coast of the South Island clearing early afternoon. Showers also continue to push into Coromandel northwards in an easterly airflow. This weekend is dry for the South Island and most western parts of the North Island, expect showers at times for the eastern North Island and about Coromandel northwards.
